The cafeteria set up in the 30 storey World Trade Centre (WTC) building caters to the employees of the corporations operating from here. Located above the multi-level car parking structure, the cafeteria is bridged to the corporate tower at the 7th floor. The form of the cafeteria was conceived as a series of 4 barrel vaulted structures, extending out like 'fingers' from a linear service spine that extends across the length of the floor slab. These fingers are interlocked with complimenting open-to-sky landscaped, linear terraces. The circulation inside is similar to that of a street market with the service spine functioning as the main 'street' with the buffet counters and service areas arranged off one side, and the dining area branching off into the 'fingers' on the other.
