The Grand Mercure is a 150 room Hotel located in Mysore city which is famous for its palaces and festivities that take place during the Dasara, when the city receives a large number of tourists. The design direction revolves around a resort theme, given that Mysore is a holiday destination.

The relaxed, laidback vibe of this design invites the guests to spend their days lounging by the pool, or at the viewing terrace over-looking the Dasara processional pathway. The resort scheme also encouraged us to interpret Indian design and elements in an exciting new way, while staying away from a more clichéd symbolic interpretation of Indian culture. India has a varied tradition in textiles offering us a very strong graphic language that has been customized and curated for the hotel.
